Aerial photography of flooded landscapes in the Hokianga

The night before – deluge of rain, unwavering in it’s consistency and ferocity.

Never had I seen it like this, but then again I had just recently moved to the area…

Something caught my eye along the expansive mass of murky water…

an intriguing and unexpected sight for sure…

Driven by curiosity to see up close what was going on, I piloted my drone  over the offending lump…

Never in a million years did I imagine that the following footage and images would be snapped up by local, regional, national and international media….

I was simply doing what I loved…taking photos of things I found to be beautiful and intriguing to share with people.

I’m pleased that my video or images resonated with so many people from all over the world…even though it wasn’t the happiest of subject matters.

What next?

Perhaps, goats on an island, my friend jokingly suggests…

Well, I am looking forward to creating more visual magic for you all to enjoy and working more closely within the local community.

I am now working to create a short video showcasing the stunning landscape of the Hokianga, with a more of a feel-good vibe, of course.

Working together to create something special

Do you have an aerial photography/ video project in mind?

I would love to hear from you, I am always looking for new challenges and love creating new visual material for people and their businesses.

No matter if it’s a personal or a commercial project, I am happy to help.
